For quick identification of PLCopen certified training centres, PLCopen has developed a training logo. PLCopen members that comply with the existing PLCopen training specification can use the logo free of charge.

2. PLCopen TC2 Motion Control – New Certificate for Advantech

Advantech, based in Taiwan, has been granted a certificate for its product AMONet 1-Axis Motion Function Blocks. This product complies with the updated version 1.1 of Part 1 of Motion Control.

Part 1, the basic document of PLCopen Motion Control was originally published in 2001. The updated version 1.1 was released in April 2005 and includes an extension to the homing functionality, the addition of the output ‘Busy’ (signalling the status of the Functions Block), and the capability to merge and blend function blocks.

3. Meet us at the ISA Show in Houston,USA

During the ISA show in Houston, TX, Oct. 17-18, a session will be held on IEC 61131-3.

4. Meet us at PackExpo in Chicago, USA

From October 29 till November 2 the PackExpo will take place in the McCormick centre in Chicago, IL.

At this event, OMAC will have a booth, and they were willing to include PLCopen in a section of it.

During this event we both will show the combination of the OMAC specifications and the PLCopen implementations to it.Mr. Eelco van der Wal will be there in person most of the time, as well as Bill Lydon for a short time.

5. Meet us at SCS Automation & Control in Paris, France

For the first time PLCopen will be present at the SCS Automation & Control Fair in Paris, which takes place from December 5-8.
