1. PLCopen dedicated Conference during IAS 2011, Shanghai November 1-5
The Industrial Automation Show, IAS, is one of the main shows in Shanghai, China, for the industrial control market. It will take place from November 1-5 in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Last year there were 519 exhibitors on 30,000 sqm attracting 102,900 registered visitors. Check the IAS website for more information on this show.
PLCopen will have a booth in hall W1, # B 132.
During this event, on November 3, there will be a PLCopen dedicated conference (room W2-M2) which gives you an excellent overview of the status of the PLCopen activities as well as how PLCopen can help you to be more effective in your market.

16:30 - 17:00 : Questions and Answers - Plenary session, podium discussion
17:00 - wrap up : closing of the event.
There will be simultaneous translation into Chinese for the English presentations.

2. Meet us at System Control Fair, Tokyo November 16-18
The bi-annual System Control Fair takes place November 16-18 in Tokyo, Japan. The SCF provides the latest information on controlling systems, equipment and software for industrial fields under this years theme "Creating Better Environment, Safety, and Security" with environment, safety, security and the art of manufacturing as keywords.
PLCopen Japan will again have a booth at this event.

3. PLCopen at SPS/IPC/Drives, Nuremberg November 22-24
PLCopen will have a booth at the coming SPS/IPC/Drives in Nuremberg, Germany. You will find us in Hall 7, booth number 291.

4. First PLCopen Motion Control version 2.0 certification for Omron
Omron Corporation, based in Japan, is the first of our members to be awarded the PLCopen Certificate for compliance with the new version 2.0 of the PLCopen Specification for Function Blocks for Motion Control. The certification is for their product Machine Automation Controller, NJ-series Automation Software, Sysmac Studio. This product also complies with Part 4 Coordinated Motion of the Motion Control specification, and thus makes Omron Corporation the second company with a Part 4 certification.
