1. PLCopen welcomes new members 

Two companies recently joined PLCopen as a member: 

KUKA Roboter GmbH based in Germany. A pioneer in robotics and automation technology, and one of the leading manufacturers of robotic systems worldwide. KUKA offers a unique and wide range of industrial robots and robot systems, covering all common payload categories and robot types.  

BE.services GmbH based in Germany. BE.services core competence is in industrial automation systems. They consult and develop for automation vendors during the different phases of their embedded software development. Furthermore they have a training program and BE.educated will be launched soon aiming to be the e-learning platform for industrial automation software.

As such they received the certificate for PLCopen certified training centre.

2. PLCopen at Industrial Automation Beijing, 2015

Industrial Automation Beijing 2015 takes place from May 13-15 at the Beijing Exhibition Centre in Beijing, China. It will feature brand-new themes on 3D printing and machine vision that are aimed at promoting the development of hot industries and attracting trade visitors from all walks of life. In addition to the established exhibitions of robotics, motion control technology, sensors and connectors, and other advanced technologies, Industrial Automation Beijing as an international platform will showcase automation and information technology and network, process automation, energy and material efficiency, robotics and systems integration and intelligent systems.

PLCopen has a booth right at the entrance of hall 1, # 1-06 and the Managing Director Eelco van der Wal will attend. Come and meet him there. 

On the second day of the event, May 14, there will be a PLCopen Conference. This conference will give an excellent overview on how PLCopen and its members can help users to be more effective in their market. 

The PLCopen Conference starts at 13:00 on May 14. Venue for this event: Meeting room # 4.

3. Meet us at IPACK IMA 2015 

Please visit our booth at the IPACK IMA in Milan, Italy from May 19-23.

You will find us in Hall 2 – L08. 

IPACK-IMA is one of the most important international events in the industry of packaging, processing and material handling technology, where all major international suppliers exhibit.
At IPACK-IMA technology suppliers and end-user companies meet to increase business, create value, share knowledge and expertise and promote innovation.
The exhibition is held in Fieramilano, Milan. You will find detailed information on this event at the IPACK IMA website.

There is a PLCopen Presentation “Harmonized Communication – the basis for Industry 4.0” on Thursday May 21 from 3:00 – 3:45 pm at the Innovation Corner Hall 2/4. 

This presentation by Eelco van der Wal, the Managing Director of PLCopen, will show how the cooperation between PLCopen and OPC Foundation changes the way of communication in industrial automation and creates the basis for new philosophies like Industry 4.0. You are all welcome to participate.
