2. PLCopen and OPC Foundation demonstrate their joint result @ HMI 2010

PLCopen and OPC Foundation will show the result of their cooperation at the Hanover Fair.

At our combined booth there is an impressive demonstration of the joint technology that was developed as part of the PLCopen OPC UA. This particular demonstration shows the incorporation of the OPC UA technology by a number of PLCopen members, with specific emphasis on the information model that was developed as a companion specification as part of the PLCopen/OPC UA collaboration.

The following vendors are part of the demonstration

Controllers: Ifak (Siemens-S7), logicals, KW-Software, UnifiedAutomation, Beckhoff and Bosch Rexroth.

Scada: Allmendinger, Inosoft, Ascolab, Certec, Iconics and CopaData.

In addition the company SAP will present their product "SAP Plant Connectivity" at our booth.  SAP Plant Connectivity allows connection and information exchange directly with the smallest controller via OPC UA client.

For more information on the PLCopen/OPC working group please check out our website.
